Trip to Boston…

Boston was an excellent place to visit! It has so much history and many amazing sights to see. If you are there to visit, I highly recommend getting a 7-day pass to ride the train system around Boston. This will take you almost directly to all of the major highlights around town. Some of the places I visited were the Boston Public Garden, the New England Aquarium, the Boston Public Library, MIT, Harvard, the Museum of Science, and the USS Constitution "Old Ironsides". I'd highly recommend visiting here and seeing all these sights. I would however, recommend against anyone ever going to Fenway Park. You can read more about that below. All in all it was a great trip and I would definitely like to go back again some day.

The one really big disappointment on this trip was when I tried to visit Fenway Park. On 2012-08-08 the Red Sox were playing the Rangers. I had just driven into town from Maine and had just enough time to see the last part of the game. After figuring out the train system and walking around the stadium for a while, each gate I stopped at said that I couldn't get in to the park. The ticketing booth was closed, and some of the gate attendants were saying the stadium was full, even though, as I stood there, I saw hundreds of disappointed Red Sox fans leaving. So, be sure to skip Fenway so you can skip the disappointment of not getting in to what should have been a really awesome ball park.
